Default 1988 C350 -Northern CA rig purchased from original owner

    Year:1988

    Model-Centurion C350 4x4

    Vehicle history that I know:
Purcahsed from original owner... He is still lookign for literature and I'll share with group if/when he finds it. 88 purchased Jan 89. Owner went to Future ford to look for a F350 crew. Dealer had 2 (1 gas 1 diesel) on the lot.. Sticker was 40k plus and out of budget. That night the GM of dealer drove detailed Centurion to orig owners home (unannounced) parked it in his drive and sold it for cost (27k???).
Orig owner took excellent care. Had the upholstry, headliner, crate 460 @ 90k miles, roof fixed and entire vehicle repainted over the years. His kids are grown and he decided it was time to pass along to a new family!

DRIVETRAIN - Stock.. D60 and 10.5 right??? likely 4.10 gears as at 65 she is around 3k rpms on 285/75/16 tires.
    Transmission: - C6, original

    Transfercase: Not sure?
Tires: 285/75/16 BFG ATs that have some serious sidewall cracking... First purchase will be new meats... Trying to figure out how big I want to/can go.

Fuel Tank: - Stock seems like 30 gallongs...

    INTERIOR OPTIONS
Cloth or leather: 3 rows of bench seats in a very nice and soft bright red velvetish... redone by local upholstry shop. headliner too.
    #Heat AC:
Stock heat and ac. Front only.... Momma wants rear AC too.. maybe down the road.
Power Windows: Yes front only and rear tailgate
    Power Door Locks: Yes
    Power Tailgate window:Yes
    Cruise Control: Yes
    Stereo: Yes aftermarket...works
    Instrumentation:
    Stock -Full.
    Overhead console:NO
#Glass: Rear doors, top and window aftermarket tinted.
Spare tire Carrier: No... stock spare covered in original inside location.

    EXTERIOR OPTIONS
    Paint: Red and silver...

Running boards: Yes, aftermarket westins... work ok.
    Mirrors:
    stock
    Roof Rack: yes, stock.

Reciever Hitch: yes stock 10k. I need to wire for trailer though... Original owner didn't pull anything apparently..
    #45 ENTER DATA#

    Other:

Misc Centurion notes: Dual tank switch is still under dash... found while looking for windshield squirter fuse. Not sure on frame and such yet.

    My current Mods:
None from me... All mods listed above.

    My Future Mods:
New tires... Likely 315/75/16 and a bumper mod(space it out) for now. Winshield washer squirter needs to be fixed. General maintenance first. Need to go through and replace bushings, u joints, fluids. Maybe a new exhaust headers back along with intake and ??? for fuel. Not now but I would like to run 39 plus tires in the future. We'll see, this rig is so clean I don't want to ruin her!

Anyone with 37 plus tires and lifts I would appreciate pictures (or links) to your mods for reference.

Thank you!! 2 weeks ago I didn't knwo 4 door broncos existed!! Your site was very helful for my research. In the past I've been a jeep guy building wild to mild rigs over the years. My family has outgrown a jeep so we were looking for a family adventure rig. Very happy to have found our 4door bronc.

Love the weather and lack of rust... 3 years ago I took a 97 Jeep TJ that was stock with 148k commuter miles and removed the entire suspension with hand tools (no torches, impacts or breaker bars) in an hour or so... I'm from Michigan originally and remember not being ablle to take an undercarrriage bolt off after 2 years without penetrating lube an luck!!

Very nice, I don't think I have seen the three bench options. I've seen (and want) the two front captains with the jump seat, but not three benches.

THanks.. I wasn't sure about the 3 benches but like it very much so far. need a drink holder/stuff collector for the transmission hump... not sure if those are still around but I'm going to look.

I must have goofed on a couple pic posts as they didn't take. so here are more.

Very nice truck. Looks well taken care of.

Let me ask you are those only two leaves on the leaf springs? I've never seen that before. But then again I've never looked closely at the suspension of F350 type trucks or Straight Axle'd 4WD Broncos.

Some of this you will know, and be redundant, some will be info.

3/4 and 1 ton rigs TTB or solid have a 2 leafs, 3/4 are negatively arched, 1 ton are positively arched.

Solid Broncs, are coil, 66-79, 80 when they went TTB they stayed coil.. and most or not all of the TTB 3/4's were leaf, I know from 86 out they were leafs.

Thanks BlackDog. Good info as I have very little knowledge of heavy duty leaf sprung vehicles.

Mine only seats 8, you can fit 9. I guess you get to keep having those cute kids and fill it up. Nice truck.

Thanks everyone. We have another girl on the way!!(due in late Oct) along with the two dogs and grandma space is filling up fast. We have a 2000 suburban that we are selling and other than the lack of rear air(100 plus this week in sacramento) everyone loves the bronc better!

Good info on the front negative vs positive arch leaf springs... Fronts are two spring and and rear are 6 or 7 and and overload..

Default More pics! - Top off!!

I don't know if this is of interest but I figure the registry is the proper place for this... I took the top off and pulled the rear seat out temporarily. Overall happy with what I found. Ford didn't make the edges very "clean" or "friendly"... Need to get some trim for the edges. Good - no rot. Bad, need to clean up the headliner edge and will reuphoster the rear sides as the material pulled away from the top seam - See pics. Kids like it!!
