Putting this up as a feeler to see if there is enough interest in it to get what I want out of it.
I have several trucks I'm looking at that I would rather pay cash than involve a financial institution in.
Feel free to browse the board, my ownership of this rig can be traced here and on the YaHoo board since I bought it and brought it home from OK.
156,000 miles, does not smoke or use oil. 5 speed is a little stiff in the winter, but shifts well. I run Lucas oil stabilizer in the tranny, transfer and front and rear diffs. as well as treat the fuel system with Lucas fuel injector treatment as needed.
K&N open element intake
Full custom exhaust, Doug Thorley headers piped through an Aero Flow muffler and dueled out behind the rear tires.
The Aero Flow has a much better sound IMO than the Flowmasters I have run in the past, not too loud, but they open up when you are on the throttle.
There is no CAT on the truck, everything is there to cut it in, I just chose not to install at the time I had the system run. Prior to sale I will have a CAT installed if the buyer will need it for his/her local inspection.
The axles are 3.55 open diff., this is a fairly tall gearing, especially running 35" tires. It's tall enough that 1st gear is actually usable instead of a "granny" gear.
I've towed everything from uHauls, car trailers, and travel trailers with this set-up. The taller gearing isn't optimum for towing and there are instances where you could use another gear between 3rd and 4th. If you plan on doing a lot of towing then bumping the diff. gears to 3.75 or 4.10 might be needed, but for occasional towing I never saw the justification in cost. A gear vendor unit is another option, but again, the cost doesn't pan out against occasional towing.
Roof was done in '05 when the interior was gutted. The repair of the Centurion splice still looks good, the driprails are showing signs of rust. It's a common Ford issue, so I can't fault Centurion for that one.
It has the power "sport" mirrors, the passenger side housing is screwed down due to excessive vibration of the housing, this is the 3rd or 4th housing I have replaced, Ford original as well as aftermarket, they all seem to fail due to excessive play at the pivot point.
