How many miles does she have etc??? It takes a little longer to sale vehicles in this economy, but that C150 was in pretty good shape iirc. Goodluck with the sale

D-Train -why do you believe you should have gone C350 originally? Was it for towing? Is that why you went Excursion? Did you wind up with a 7.3 or V10?

Understand. Sometimes you plain and simply require the raw torque of a diesel.

Well considering I bought it for 8k and have put work into it and it is SUPER clean and nearly show worthy paint chrome and interior - that comment deminishes all the value I was sold to believe these "RARE" vehicles we suppose to posses.

On top of that it is still running strong, probably wont go for another year - I was just trying to be honest.

I haven't been able to trade this thing for a lifted golf cart. I am going to take it in to a dealer soon and trade it for a new car to get max dollars for it. Only way I will get as much of my wasted money and time out of this rig.

I would have though someone from this forum would have recognized it and said "WOW - that rig was up for sale for $9500.00 last year and now this poor guy just wants $6000 and he has been up front about the tranny going... I have an e40d sitting here I could just swap - for such a beautiul no rust rig thats a steal!" Instead I am finding out it isnt worth its weight in steel.

see, thats the problem.. less of these built than Pantera's or Countaches imported... but they are basically a truck, and (don't be a hater) basically a Suburban with a few novelties.

Go drive a Vorted Burb... as opposed to the C150 you have, night and day difference....

Vortec Burbs, leather rear heat and air, flawless mechanicals are going for 3-5 grand al day long....
(Expeditions too, and neither of these rigs have the quirks that a Cent does... Hell, you can find decent V-10 and 5.4 Excursions for the 6500 bracket~ and now we have jumped up to a rig that is this decade)

You didn't get hosed.. you just want "esteemed collector" resale out of a truck, that for the most part hasn't gained in Collectors books, and may not ever.

And as far as that goes... aftermarket packages don't really seem to add that much in vehicle value, on a bvan or reg. pickup after the 7+ year mark, at that point, unless the right niche buyer is strolling along, its just another used rig, as far as a dealer is concerned.. and the aftermarket package may actually alienate some consumers, that want a less gaudy, or ultra deluxe truck, sometimes the extra bells and whistles are more problematic than they are wiorth, or so they are viewed anyway.

Here is what I see happening if you trade it in. They'll give a low ball trade saying something about how old it is and people aren't buying trucks like they where do to high fuel prices. Then it will go to auction and find it's way on to a used car lot being sold for a higher price then you paid for it. The car lot will then say it's rare only 10 made kinda BS.

Put it on eBay or the in the auto trader. Heck, I just put my truck on eBay last week and sold it in 10 days. You just got to try.
