    Default 1993 w/vinyl roof

I knew this day would come but was trying to wait until next year. I got in the cent after work last night. There had been a big rain storm just before I punched out. When I put my seat belt on it was soaked. I guess the rain is running down the pillars. So this morning I decided to see what the roof looked like. Here are some pics. Enjoy..?:(

The roof looked fine but when I got the vinyl off it exposed what we all knew was there. After inspecting it I didn't see any holes through the roof. I took it to a body guy who quoted me $800 to $1000. Is that a fair price? I don't have time or the equipment to do it myself. He asked me what it is supposed to look like when finished I told him pretty much flat till you get to the incline before the bronco cap. Looks like there was close to 1/2 inch of bondo in spots. More pics...

I think the only good thing about the vinyl other than hidding the obvious is that when I pulled it up the adhesive pulled the bondo with it. I threw a couple pic's of the new puppy and I heading to the body shop too. Her name is Gabby and she is 4 months old. I am going to get a disposable camera to the shop and have them take pics of progress. More pics to follow.

Looks great, you got to the roof at just the right time.
Shouldn't take more than some scrubbing, body filler and paint.

    Cute puppy.

The roof is finished. I am a little disappointed because I left a disposable camera for them in the truck and it was still in the wrapper when I picked it up. So all I have is an after shot. They were wondering what the paint color is. He said that it didn't match any of fords colors. He said that he had the paint guys match it and they called it "Camen Green" I think. Anyone know the exact color. It looks darker from the side but when you look from the top it matches. I think the clear coat adds to the effect. No clear on the rest of the vehicle makes the other look darker. I guess the rest of the truck needs fresh paint.

    Looks good.
When I had my '94 done, the shop took some pictures, but no where near what I wanted.
Next time I'm installing a webcam in their shop so I can watch the whole thing.

That looks really good. I'm hoping they ground it all down and used as little bondo as they could. Take a couple close up shots looking down the drip edges if you can. I'd like to see how they handled them.

Paint code my body man left in my owners manual when I had some repairs made. Green matches real well. I have formula for the gold if you are interested.
Your roof looks great! Always thought if I did mine I would put the vynil back on. Now not so sure.
