I just picked this up and very excited about it. The body and exterior are very solid for it's age. I ran an Auto Check on it before I bought it and it started out in Virginia then went to Alaska soon after, Fairbanks specifically. In 2016 the owner drove it from Alaska to Texas where he was stationed and it has been there since. Never wrecked and past history is clean other than it has had a lot of owners. They do NOT use salt on the roads in Alaska, they use gravel, so there is no rust or rot except a little on the fender lip which can be common on any of these vehicles. One of the previous owners was on here and went by Shift. He took good care of it from what has been documented on here and Supermotors. The guy I bought it from was an aircraft mechanic and told me twice he was going to cry when I drove away. He also gave it some love and had some good memories in it. I plan to give it the proper maintenance and care it needs to keep it on the road for a long time. First picture is when Shift owned it and first painted it satin black in 2010. The other pictures are what it looks like now in 2019.

I gave it a much needed bath today and pressure washed the underside. It is looking better!! There is an early Bronco event coming up that I will use it for to tow our 75 Bronco with. After that I will begin to replace the carpet to clean up the interior. I bought the front carpet from RockAuto and will get some Bronco rear carpet for the back.

The best place to start is with a good cleaning. Next best with a tune up if it hasn't had one in a while.

Thanks. It needs it.

I have power windows in the front and manual crank ones in the rear. Is this normal?

Short answer... yep. If you want power in the rear you can find the parts to do it. I like having manual rear windows. I don't use them often and they don't have motors.

Previous owner did some great suspension upgrades but it is too tall for me and the kids. See here for his thread http://www.fourdoorbronco.com/board/showthread.php?4703-New-suspension

I ordered the same lift from Sky Off-road in 2".

Here's the link to the suspension work done by Shift http://www.fourdoorbronco.com/board/showthread.php?4703-New-suspension He installed Sky off-road's shackle reverse and 6" lift. I ordered the same lift this week except in 2". The 6 is too high for me and the kids to get in and out but I like Sky's products and the ride is nice. Since this is also my tow rig now, there's no need for it to be that tall and the lower center of gravity will be better all around.
