I have the annoying whining coming from my power steering pump. I have done research and see that it is very common with Ford's power steering pump. also, the folks I bought it from said they replaced the pump but it did not get rid of the whining. from what I read, everyone is saying switch to Saginaw.

IDK if mine is different in this aspect or not. but mine only whines when the wheels are rotating. if I am stopped and turn the wheel it is quite as can be. I don't mind doing the Saginaw upgrade, but if someone knows a different route I would love to hear it. I mention this cause some of the people were complaining about low rpm turns and I don't have that issue. I am assuming I should still upgrade the pump.

opinions?

Saginaw pump is about the only sure solution for it. You can keep changing the factory pump out until you find a quiet one. Not all of them do it.
But it is a crap shoot if the replacement will be better or worse.
