New price $5995, I am going to go and look at this one tomorrow if they still have it, I am getting the centurion bug again alot lately, maybe this is a good start until I find a good powerstroke again. What is everyone's opinion on the 351 W I am assuming this one has the windsor, plus I already have a lift kit I just took off my bronco, and they always make a supercharger for the 351 maybe with that I could get 15 17 mpg, any thoughts?

I got 15-18 out of my '94 C-150, you'll like the way the 150 rides.
Plenty of aftermarket for the 351, and surprizingly it does a good job even with the added weight of the extra doors.
Look for the standard body issues, as well as the E4OD. If possible get it checked by a shop.
I like the black, looks cool.
Good luck.

Good luck with that. I tried to see it today (just out of curiosity) as I was on my way through Salt Lake. Nobody knew anything about it at first, but they finally figured out that it's the private vehicle of someone that works there. They called him, and he was ready to drive it down for me to look at, but I was already running late by that time, so I said I'd have to stop by another time. I let them know that you were planning to stop in tomorrow though. You can try calling the salesman that I talked to, Tom Banks @ 399-2367, and let him know when you're coming so they can have it there for you. Hope you get a chance to look at it. Let me know how it goes.

My C-150 gets 15 to 18 also. 351 E4OD no problems with 104k on truck. Ride is great loaded or empty. Pulled a 68 Camero home from Alabama, could have used a little more power in the hills.

Hey everyone, this one has a vinyl roof, what are the pros and cons of this, the one I could think of off hand is that UV could disinigrate it over time, am I being crazy, what is everyone's thought. This one I am going to compare to Jason's powerstroke and make a final decision. Let me know thanks

Pros: If in good shape would look cool and different.
Cons: They can trap moisture and cause rusting that won't show up till it has advanced further than a non vynal top before you catch it. A lot of times a vynal top on a "custom" vehicle is used to cover a less than average sheetmetal patch.

As long as you check it really good for any strange bubbling and lifting of the vynal before buying you should be o.k.
The good thing is, if you do have to pull it and fix anything it will be cheaper than a painted roof. You won't need as much prep of the metal as the vynal will cover any minor imperfections.
I think they look good, but they can cause a headache.
Only experiance I have is on cars, but we do have a member that has one and he has had no issues with his. We also have another member who is replacing most of the metal on his roof, in part I would say because of the vynal.
All boils down to if you like the looks of it.

not that I am biased to you buying my rig instead of this one but I don't really see how you can compare a c150 with a 5.8 ( sorry I just read it has a 460 but still has all 1/2 ton running gear to a C-350 w/ a diesel? *just not in the same category, the price differences should tell you that...I know you are weighing what is best for you and I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND THAT, I was just saying.

As for the vinyl roof, from what I have heard from this group and fullsize owners is that our 4drs have a hard enough time with rust on the roof...the vinyl roof does nothing except trap more water and make the roof worse...talk to Audra...I think she had the original vinyl roof full custom sunroof from front to back!

This is my personal vehicle that I am selling. I am the System Admin for Salt Lake Valley GMC and not a salesperson. It is in great shape and has a 351 V8. I have it parked on the east side of the building at work and if you want to see or get any more information call me or email me. 801-303-2230 or 801-706-8560, email is jk5ordie@yahoo.com. 460?

None of the c150's had a 460 that I knew of... My C350 does http://www.fourdoorbronco.com/temp/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

My c150 has a 5.8 v-8 351 windsor.

Quote[/b] ]I think she had the original vinyl roof full custom sunroof from front to back!

Nope, that was slick. My truck was a texas truck and the sun down there wore the paint on the roof real bad and the natural centurion issue just went from bad to worse. All my C350 ever had was a metal roof.

I guess I was under the impression that a vinyl roof was normally a magnum conversion vs a centurion?

Just an update on this one. I went and visually saw it inside and outside. The outside has been repainted at one point. The paint is flawless. I didn't even see a scratch. Shiny Black. IT has a Cadillac Type Vinyl top that I do not believe was done by centurion. It has an interesting look, I will get pictures next time I have my digital camera. My best guess is it was done to cover up the roof, my guess is it wouldn't leak in its current state, but I am assuming it was added to coverup centurion cracking. I am still going to drive it as I am considering the two here locally. I am also interested in the 1995 C150/c350 conversion, you guys should also check out Centurion Flex (http://www.mightymax.biz/) Who says a centurion wasn't made to rock crawl.

Well, out of the blue, I emailed John the owner on this one to see if it was still available. Much to my surprise, he still had it. We came to an agreement on price after test driving it, and I will be picking it up this week after funding arrives(checks, eft's, what a pain). After a visit with our potential daughter and the two little ones in the 4runner, my wife asked me Is the Lexus Lx450(aka landcruiser) going to be big enough for all of us and our luggage for trips. Holding back every possible slip of a smile, I calmy stated,"Well, what do you think would work?" How big are those Bronco thingy's you are always looking at. With that, She took the trap I have been setting for a couple of years now. I looked around that night for any possible solutions. The 1996 that came up was a good possiblity just because of so unscathed it looked, and then I remembered the black c150. This would be a much more compliant smooth ride for her. No noisy diesel to deal with, as well as the height to get in. So, we will be picking this one up, and I will post a bunch of pictures. Finally, another lurker bites the Dust, only a couple more I can think of, mainly ADRIAN!!!! As for the build plans, they are still on. My first project is going to be a Hummer Replica with a ford 460 e40d setup with only 37K from the 1995 350 4x4 I located as a donor truck for my Centurion build up. As soon as the Hummer is complete, I will begin on the Centurion build, but no longer have to wait to own one. black c150, the white one ended up being sold for $5400, I will be picking this one up soon hopefully, just have to wait for funds to transfer into the right account. IT is in pretty good shape, under 91K, no oil drips leaks of any kind. John is the original owner and I feel was very honest with any questions that I asked. He had the vinyl top done at the time of purchase, because Centurion disclosed that they had problems with the roof, and although they would fix it if there was a problem with the roof, they couldn't guarantee there wouldn't be a problem, so offered him the vinyl roof option. It has cloth interior no rips that I noticed, everything works. Electric 4x4 switch I will have to get used to. Not a fan, but it shifted in and out properly, so I will deal with it. Only signs of cancer are the bottom of the tailgate(Im so surprised), and the front/rear door posts are starting to bubble. I will write up a tech article on the door post replacements and or repair shortly. Unfortunatly it did have a minor accident with a soft ball, so I will have to replace a rear tail lamp, and it has a good size dent in the right rear corner, I will show all you pics, and have you offer up suggestions. I can't wait to pick it up. The tailgate will be left alone until it bugs me, and I will be installing one of my old bronco swing away tire carriers. It has an awesome sliding roof rack on the shell, very high quality. I am very impressed so far. Thanks for letting me hang around here so long without me even being an owner.

got it home today. The list is growing in my head already of what to do to it first. I will post lots of pictures once it is light tomorrow, have to have it safetied and emissions tomorrow. I am going to change fluids and filters, coolant, flush the tranny, and replace the rear brake light and fab up some diamond plate corners.(pics to explain). Short post I will post tomorrow or Sunday with all the details. Loves 75 mph, ttb has got to go. Tires feathering already at 5000 miles, need to rotate and drop the front pressure or add my tuffcountry alignment brackets. I am still undecided. MORE TO FOLLOW. I AM FINALLY A CENTURION OWNER.
