Looking for a good ZF 5 speed to fit a 7.3 diesel. Must be 4x4.
Also looking for a Dodge NV4500 for a diesel.
Had an NV4500 behind my 7.3 IDI, but now I need a replacement.
Prefer it to be near SE Wisconsin/ NE Illinois, but let me know what you've got.
Thanks

I've got a rear housing for a 4wd ZF tranny that will make a regular 2wd drive tranny work. Also keep in mind that a 2wd SD trany that had the e-brake on the tranny is exactly the same as a 4wd tranny.
I also have a shifer and some other misc parts. I was planning to swap out the slush box in my old C350 before I bought the one I have now. I had almost everything I needed but have since sold most of it off.

Alternately, I have a line on a ZF-6 speed from an 02 7.3 PSD.. It is tentatively spoken for, but he has gone AWOL from getting back at me, pics just finished uploading.. Reputed to have had new synchro's within the last 15k miles. Came out of a rolled truck.
Shipping was between 150-220 from Boise to Houston.
Since I can't edit, he and I were talking $1200 shipping inclusive, at that shipping number...

I would love to have the 6 speed, but that would force me to change t-cases, as well as both driveshafts. I'll keep it in mind, but I'm looking for a simpler fix.
I already went through the trouble of converting it from an auto to an NV4500.
I've got a line on a cheap ZF locally, but kids have been playing with it, and it needs to be completely rebuilt. Fortunately, I have a complete gear set from a 4x4, as well as a parted out 460 2wd trans with a bad main shaft. Should be able to make one out of it. Then I only have to make one shaft.
Seems like this stuff is everywhere until you need it.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I was able to find a trans locally. I may be interested in that tail housing still.
