Trying to think about what I want to tackle this weekend on the truck.

The door of my truck closes and it latches around the metal cylinder. That metal cylinder has a plastic cylinder around it. The plastic has busted so that the door latches completely, but it loose because not all of that plastic piece is there. Is this a hard fix?

I know I am probably going to use my new-found wiring skills and replace the right speaker wire. It has worked intermittently for 3 years. I figure just a matter of taking apart the dash and routing the wire. Bob said last night better to just put a new one in and I agree. Will just cut out the old.

I need to set aside some time to work on that roof as well. Will need to go ahead and sand down where the seam is bubbling the paint, and cover it with some clear coat just to keep the salt this winter from eating my truck up. No point in letting that happen when the only serious rust I know of is on the tailgate.

if you cant find the right part, wrap it with tape. Alittle at first then check, add more if needed. It will work till you get the right pice. just dont let any body see it ,the will call you a red neck.

you don't have to replace the striker bolt (that's what its called) you could have loosened it it's on a floating attachement point and tapped it in toward the center of the truck and then had no problem @ all

the thingy shouldn't fall off unless centurion messed with it when they did the conversion. most likely they didn't mess with it if your truck started as a crew cab. it is a floating point that should be held in by some metal clips

Thanks for explaining this. I am going to try it with the rear doors and see how that works. Need to make a run to wal mart for some truck supplies.

Won't to get to the wiring this weekend now theres other stuff to do on it.

Did the bronco tailgate and the rattling noise from back there stopped. Very nice.

and just set this a little back. Was starting to get worried being able to hear the rear glass wobble.
