Selling both my trucks, this one is the cooler of the two - my '50:
This truck is in pretty original condition except for the seat, and the original engine, which was cracked by the previous owner. Original 4 speed spur “crash box”. Original radiator was tossed as it was garbage. It does have the original air cleaner and it is in decent shape. She has 49,000 original miles as stated on the clean Minnesota title!
I know the history of this truck back to the day it was bought. The man I purchased it from bought it from his uncle to drive around and restore. His uncle bought it new, and the truck spent it's life on the farm and then was stashed 30+ years in a barn. He then sold it to his nephew as a driving restoration project, and thats what he did. He drove it until the block cracked and removed the engine. He then decided he didn't have the time or the place to restore it and he sold it to me. I had it trucked from Minnesota to New Jersey where it has been for the past 5-6 years.
Drivetrain:
244 CID Flathead V8 (year correct 8RT truck engine, not 8BA), bored .020, crank and rods .010/.010. Was rebuilt in 1955, and has a rare and unique plaque on the front of the engine to prove it. I bought it off an old hot rodder, and he said it ran good so he stored it in his dry shed all these years in hopes of getting to use it but never did. I picked it up and put it in with new mounts. Fired it up October 7th, and it runs great! Video of it running can be seen:

New plugs, points, condenser, and cap. New radiator. Generator is converted to 12 Volts. Original fan. No exhaust system. Brakes are bled and work nicely (rear driver's side wheel cylinder seeps fluid over time), drive shaft is in and freshly greased with new U-Joint, transmission shifts fine, clutch works great. Front end is greased, the steering is tight and it is the easiest manual steering I've ever driven! I've fabricated a nice battery tray for it that retains the stock hold down frame. New clutch pivot bracket, all clutch linkage present excepting pin. Emergency brake does not work, needs adjustment. Engine is bolted and torqued to transmission with new stainless hardware. Spare clutches and flywheels. Lots of other new miscellaneous hardware/parts.
Interior:
Year and truck correct bench seat. Restored cluster (gages work) with resurfaced Speedometer . It has been converted to 12V with an in-line resistor. New under dash wiring harness. New headlight dimmer switch. Original radio grille and delete plate are cracked and long gone but cheap to replace. Glove box liner is trash, as are the heater box hoses. Heater looks to be in nice shape. Seat cover is not year correct and needs replacement. No bolts for seat. Interior was cleaned and painted with rust-o-leum for protection. There is no headliner or kick panels. Both doors do have panels to cover the access area (not attached). Floor pan needs to be media blasted to remove glue residue from previous owner's installation of shag carpet. Driver vent window needs latch. Windshield needs new seal.
Exterior:
It was originally Alpine Blue, then painted maroon and now it's maroon and rust-o-ileum sky-blue. All trim save the driver side “F-2” badge is present and in good condition. All is reusable with no dings or dents that I can see except for one of the hood bars that is bowed slightly at the end (needs new attaching hardware). Inner body panels are in great shape. Minor if any cab rust. The only place that is rusted on the cab is a small non-structural place under the cab in the back (both sides) about 2x1 inches if I remember correctly. All the glass is good excepting the rear window, which is shot (literally with a BB gun) and is fogging up. This truck has the absolute straightest bed rails I have ever seen, and the rest of the bed is very straight except for rust through near the spare tire area. Tailgate and rear bumper are both garbage. Taillights are not original. Bed wood is serviceable for a work truck but needs replacement. Fenders have rust in the usual places. Patches of bondo are scattered through out, but most of it has been removed by me. The front fender quarters need patching, one is partially patched with steel and needs final grinding and filling, the other one the rust has been removed and is awaiting the welder. Most of the truck has been or was painted for protection, and should be stripped to bare metal. Hood, doors, and most of the cab was stripped of old paint and/or rust and protected. Grill is in decent shape with only minor dings. I believe I have the original door mirror. Frame is in excellent condition, it almost looks new. Have all the welt for front fenders. All the expensive and hard to find parts are hear and are in new or good original condition. All bolts that were replaced, were replaced with stainless.
I drive this thing around on occasion (about once a week), just for fun. Clutch works good, gears don't have any excess noise and they go in smoothly (if you double clutch it right, I'm still learning). It's a blast, and anybody interested is welcome to come drive it around the farm road.
I believe this truck is the perfect candidate for an original-style restoration. Nothing has been messed with, and it has show truck potential.
By late fall it could be on the road depending on how much tinkering time is dedicated. I've described it the best I can and hopefully didn't forget anything. Any other questions feel free to email me! Truck is located in Lebanon, NJ (northern NJ).
Asking $4500 obo. Or possible trade for a C-350 or '69 Mustang driver.

I don't have any really good pictures of it, and it must be seen to appreciate. PM me with your Email and I'll send everything I do have.
Thanks for looking!
