View Full Version : Rusty tail gate fix

I was tired of the rust on the tailgate deal. ?Sheet metal guy I know said he could bend some aluminium to cover it. ?First spraypainted the inside and out with that rust stopper, and just epoxyed the aluminium on.

I'm actually really interested inthis one. Can you do some more pictures with it open and closed and try to show more seam points...I think most of us have this problem, but I had only considered actually replacing the entire tailgate with a new one....

looks good
cheap fix for a common problem
that does look nice, I wasn't too sure about the aluminum, but it looks great with the tailgate trim.

Here is looking down on it with the tailgate open. *The Al wraps around the bottom about a 1/2 inch and you can see that through the fuzzyness.
